Man has always felt the need to embellish, decorate, enrich and make unique the places where he spends his time. There are countless ancient wall paintings and frescoes still existing today that still provide inspiration for the most diverse decorative projects easily adapted to our modern tastes. Ancient techniques allow us to create long-lasting decorations, and this is why I wanted to specialise in the restoration of frescoes and stone materials, which allowed me to learn and perfectly understand the materials that make up the works of art themselves, and to learn how to combine the right materials with the appropriate and above all compatible chemical-physical properties and characteristics, in order to carry out the necessary steps that the decoration by rule requires: from the preparation and realisation of the supports rigorously carried out according to ancient precepts, faithful to the most consolidated techniques of the masters of art of the Italian Renaissance, using the same materials that were once used, always of natural and mineral origin, i.e. the use of high quality raw materials Natural materials, pure, stable and durable over time that are neither polluting, nor toxic, nor harmful to the environment.
Decoration lends itself to numerous interventions due to its extreme versatility.
In addition to large-scale interventions on walls on site, I create paintings, decorative panels or decorations on customised wallpapers that can be customised according to one’s taste, with the most diverse subjects; I also make home accessories, saucers, saucers, hand-painted and decorated lampshades, and in general anything that the client’s imagination and taste allows, from subjects such as animals, insects, reptiles, to the extremely faithful reproduction of the most diverse materials, imitations of marble, wood, precious stones, ceramics; in general imitations of coverings and finishes with both modern and antique design.
Wall Decoration
My workshop specialises in the use of ancient techniques, such as lime painting, fresco painting and buonfresco painting, learnt in Florence, the cradle of Italian Renaissance art, and then refined with the in-depth study of Flemish art techniques, learnt in Brussels at the Institut Superieur de Peinture Van Der Kelen, which still today guards the secrets of the Flemish masters of art, oil painting, and the faithful reproduction of different materials, through layers of overlapping glazes: oil pigments diluted in turpentine overlaid with successive glazes of natural mineral pigments mixed and diluted in water to create skilfully studied effects and consequently executed according to rules honed over time, which still allow for effects with a surprisingly modern taste. THE REPERTOIRE OF DECORATIVE EFFECTS THAT CAN BE COMBINED, OVERLAID AND MATCHED IS TRULY INFINITE AND CUSTOMISATION IS ALWAYS ENSURED.

Painted Faux Marbles
Hand-painted, using techniques that are extremely faithful to the reality of the veining typical of the various slabs of marble that nature offers such as Carrara marble, portoro marble, sea green, purple breccia, granite... Usually reproduced and painted to imitate interior coverings, on floors, walls, lambris. Both customised interior design wall coverings, decorative panels, customisable wallpapers; and home decor items, underplates, lampshades, lamp and table bases can be produced in Finto Marmo. The Atelier realizes each custom work using the most diverse painting techniques, oil painting, lime painting, watercolor, fresco, graffito; adapting each project to the uniqueness of the environment, the tastes of the client and his chosen subjects, and the choice of the most suitable support for the different technique used, guaranteeing quality and durability to wear and tear of the works themselves made to measure.
Each decoration is fully customizable according to one’s taste. The most diverse decorative techniques can be combined with each other in ever different and new ways ensuring as many unique and special effects perfectly true to one’s imagination.
Always passionate about art painting and decoration, I have dedicated my studies first, and my professional activity later, to the care, restoration of frescoes, wall paintings and decoration.
